Site Server 3.0/MCIS2.0 problem

My problem is this: I need to use Site Server 3.0's Personalization & Membership system to set up e-mail accounts using MCIS 2.0's SMTP and POP3 servers. I'm trying to set up a configuration where I can have multiple virtual servers and have user e-mail accounts set up on each virtual server. I plan to do this using a single LDAP server and a single membership directory.

In order for me to do this, I need to partition the membership directory into separate namespaces under ou=Members (as prescribed by the whitepaper "Hosting Multiple User Communities with a Membership Directory"). However, although I can partition the membership directory, I can't seem to authenticate my user when I try checking mail.

I have tried everything to get this to work but to date, nothing has. When I run an LDAP query from IE, I can pull up the user records from the membership directory, so I'm pretty sure the LDAP and directory are set up properly. Users sitting directly in ou=Members aren't a problem, they authenticate fine. But users sitting in subcontainers below ou=Members don't seem to be able to authenticate.

While I'm sure I've set up the LDAP server and membership directory properly, I'm not so sure about the LDAP routing and AUO Providers settings.

Can anyone give me instructions on exactly what I am supposed to configure to get namespace partitioning working?

Thanks in advance! I really appreciate it!
