DESCRIPTION ============================================== ODSC is currently looking for 2 full time Web Application Developers for our consulting firm in downtown San Francisco.

With ODSC, you will join our team of developers working on several projects. ODSC focuses on delivering clear and robust E-Business solutions such as: - E-Commerce transactions (business to business, business to consumer, and consumer to consumer) - Self-service Customer Account Management Systems - Internet based Enterprise Relationship Management Systems (customer care, sales force automation, help desk applications, etc.…) - Web-enabled Enterprise Resource Planning Systems (automated re-ordering, predictive planning, etc.…) …and much more

REQUIREMENTS: ==============================================

Web Development Skill Set - Clear understanding of client-server functionality on the web - 1-2 years working with HTML - Understanding of cross-platform and cross-browser issues - Javascript, CSS or XML a plus - Experience in e-commerce a plus

NT/IIS Skill Set: - 1-2 years in developing server-side VBScripts using ASP - Ability to call COM objects from ASP scripts a must - Ability to create COM objects in Visual Basic or C/C++ a major plus - Experience with Microsoft toolkits such as Visual Interdev or Cold Fusion a plus

Unix Skill Set (a plus, not required): - Perl/CGI scripting

Required Database Skills: - Experience with a DBMS (SQL Server, Oracle, or Sybase preferred) - Solid knowledge of SQL - Competence in database design (including the ability to normalize databases and chart their structure with entity-relationship diagrams) - Understanding of referential integrity issues

General Programming Skills: - Understanding of the software development life cycle - Knowledge of user interface design - Any of the following languages a plus: Visual Basic, JAVA , C/C++

General Skills: - Must be able to work in a team environment - Must be well-organized and attentive to detail as required - Must have the ability to analyze business problems and design clear solutions - Must be enthusiastic for learning cutting-edge web technologies - Should have a desire to be an e-commerce expert - Should understand the business environment on the Internet - Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills

We do not expect all candidates to have every technical skill listed here. As long as you have some competency in some areas and a willingness to learn new skills in other areas, then you are a prime candidate for ODSC.

For more senior positions: - Ability to create stored procedures in SQL - Knowledge of multi-user issues from a record-locking and security standpoint - Ability to architect n-tier client/server solutions - Know how to implement Microsoft Transaction Server (MTS) applications
